Green chocolate smoothie

This green chocolate smoothie is one of my favorite these days.

It’s ideal to have a breakfast on a go and not feeling hungry 2 hours after.

It’s also a good way to eat more greens, because greens are so important for our health and it’s not easy to consume enough of them in our busy life. You can use baby spinach or baby kale (but beware if you’re not used to eat kale, the taste is heavier).

I like to add some maple syrup or some dates, because I like the taste but I don’t recommend agave syrup which is so loaded on pure fructose (and fructose don’t do well on your liver). So try to stick with maple, dates, honey or at the very least coconut sugar (much processed than the other three).

I use RAW cocoa powder in all my preparations because the taste is really sweeter than plain dark cocoa and it’s full of antioxidants not destroyed by heat. A good way to not feel guilty eating chocolate!




  • 1 handfull of greens

  • 3 frozen bananas

  • 1 Tbsp of raw cocoa powder

  • 1 Tbsp of Maca (optional but a good way to get some extra energy)

  • 1 Tbsp of maple syrup or 2 Medjool dates

  • 450 ml / 2 cups of filtered water


    Put all ingredients in your high speed blender (with the greens first so they can blend better) and blend well for 30 seconds to 1 minute. And voila!
